Since heredity, we have moved onto matter. My students have done a "Chex Mix Lab", finding the mass, and manipulating it until the whole is equal to the sum of its parts. They did WONDERFUL in this lab. We have taken a look at the periodic table of elements as we investigate atoms. Through the periodic table, we were able to point out about 17 elements that we recognize in our everyday lives. Next week we will be creating a model of our favorite elements. Can't wait!
